Interview with Th’ Nephew, played by Ellen Clusker, 2 Gifford.
Tell us about your acting experience.
In primary school, Saint Brigid’s, in 6th class I was the White Rabbit in “Alice In Wonderland”. I am also in the school choir and the Schola choir.
What made you audition?
I just really like shows, plays and movies. I really like acting as well.
Tell us about your role
I’m Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, and I’m very jolly and I love Christmas. I try and make Scrooge like Christmas and I try and cheer him up but it doesn’t really work. 
What do you like about acting? 
I love how you can be who you want to be and there are no labels. When you are doing it you don’t think about anything else and you forget about all of your worries like exams. 
What are you enjoying about this play? 

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I love the Christmas spirit. I love working with different girls and making friends with girls from different classes and years. I’d love to stay friends with all of the crew in the future.

Young Scrooge Claire Mulcahy is a 5th year student who is one of the many students who auditioned for a part in this years production. She explains the process of auditioning for the play as 'nerve wracking'. On the day of the audition, she and her friends picked a scene and a character from the play to portray. She chose the role of the Ghost of Christmas Past alongside her friend who played Scrooge. Despite her nerves, when it came her turn to audition she was actually fairly confident. She describes the teachers who judged their auditions as being very patient and encouraging. Claire was excited to see she got the part of Young Scrooge as 'his scenes are fun to rehearse'. She describes her character as naive, upbeat and full of Christmas spirit. Interview with Th’ Niece, played by Rachel Cozma, 3 McDonagh. Tell us about your acting experience. I was in two plays: I was a bear in Senior Infants in the Jungle Book; I was a jungle animal in "Seussical, The Musical" in 4th class. I was also a hunter in that play. I had to run frantically backstage and get changed. What made you audition? I really like drama. I want to get involved in drama stuff. So I decided I wanted to get involved in “A Christmas Carol”.  Tell us about your role I’m just the wife of Th’ Nephew. I have four lines and a song to sing. I’m singing “Feels Like Christmas”. What do you like about acting?  You get to be a whole different person. Its fun getting to see things from another person’s perspective.
